Transportation Officials Want Drivers to Slow Down in Zones

Transportation officials are making a request of drivers as the summer travel season kicks into gear.

They want motorists to make sure they’re slowing down when going through construction zones.

So far, the number of crashes in those locations have doubled this year when compared to the same time in 2023.

A recent survey of construction workers revealed more than half of them feel their safety is at risk while on the job.
