Some Suspects Face Less-Serious Charges for Roles in Dartmouth College Protest
Dozens of protesters who participated in last month’s pro-Palestinian demonstrations on the campus of Dartmouth College won’t face charges.
Local sources say Hanover police prosecutor Mariana Pastore is opting not to file criminal charges in 28 cases.
Another 35 of those facing similar offenses reportedly will see their charges downgraded from felonies to misdemeanors.
Officials say all the suspects will face arraignment on July 15th.
Those same sources say the fates of 24 remaining suspects have yet to be decided.
