ACLU-NH Questions Border Security Spending
August 4, 2024

The American Civil Liberties Union – New Hampshire is questioning continued use of taxpayer dollars for northern border security.

Data indicates zero encounters between January and May of this year.

Indepthnh.org reported the ACLU said the money should be spent on issues like housing and substance treatment rather than on a nonexistent border issue.

Governor Chris Sununu doesn’t dispute the data but said funding has been beneficial to the North Country in preventing illegal crossings.
