New Hampshire’s Transgender Sports Ban Law Temporarily Blocked
A federal judge has ruled neither the state or school district can stop a transgender girl from playing girls sports.
Monday’s decision granting a temporary injunction allows 15-year-old Parker Tirrell to participate in practices and games for the Plymouth Regional High School girls’ soccer team.
The ruling only applies to Tirrell who last week was told she could not participate based on a state law that took effect Sunday.
The law bans students in grades 5 to 12 who are born biological male from taking part in girls’ sports.
