Health Officials Concerned About EEE Spread
State health officials are expressing concern about the spread of Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
They say so far this year, 10 mosquito batches have tested positive for the illness, which is the most since 2009.
One human ended up being bitten by an infected insect and passed away after experiencing complications.
Experts say 95% of people who contract EEE don’t show symptoms.
The virus can impact horses and owners of those animals are urged to get them vaccinated.
