Minimum Wage Up In Maine
In just a few months, minimum wage workers across Maine will be getting more money in their paychecks.
The state Department of Labor says the minimum wage will rise from the current 14-dollars and 15 cents per hour to 14-dollars and 65 cents an hour January 1st.
This bump comes as data shows the cost to live in the northeast went up over three percent from August 2023 to August 2024.
The wage for tipped workers is also increasing from seven-dollars eight cents to seven-dollars 33 cents an hour.
