Community Members Gather at Concord’s Fire Academy to Honor Fallen Firefighter
More than 100 community members gathered at Concord’s New Hampshire Fire Academy on Saturday to honor local firefighters who died in the line of duty.
Event organizers say this year’s attendees got together to honor the memory of Jessica Wyman, who served as a lieutenant with the Nashua Fire Department for 26 years.
Wyman died from complications associated with cancer.
Fire officials say she is the second Granite State firefighter to have been recognized as a ‘line of duty fatality’ for occupational cancer.
