Officer’s Name in Northwood Deadly Force Incident Withheld

The name of the Northwood police officer who used deadly force Tuesday is being withheld pending the completion of an investigation.

Officers responded to a domestic violence call on First New Hampshire Turnpike around 5:15 a.m.

When they entered the house there was a physical altercation and 34-year-old Malcolm Burns was shot and killed.

The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
