Manchester Mother Awaits Sentencing for Child Abandonment

The Manchester mother found guilty of abandoning her newborn son is scheduled for sentencing Thursday.
Alexandra Eckersley was found guilty by a jury of leaving the infant in a wooded area after giving birth in a tent in December 2022 but claimed she thought the baby was stillborn.
The child survived.
