Elevated Fire Weather Danger Predicted Today..

Residents in southern New Hampshire are urged to be careful when burning anything outside.

A very dry air mass and breezy conditions will combine with dead and dry fuels such as grass, leaves, and twigs to create the potential for uncontrolled fire spread across the southern half of New Hampshire today.

Due to the ongoing stretch of dry weather, there are concerns fires could spread and put people and property at risk.

There were a few brush fires reported in that region of the Granite State over the weekend.

One person did suffer burns but didn’t need to be hospitalized.  Important tips have been posted on the New Hampshire Division of Fire Safety website.
