Gov. Sununu Wants Agencies To Cut Their Budgets

NH Governor Chris Sununu is calling on state agencies to slash four percent from their proposed budget plans.

The next two-year state budget cycle that starts in July is expected to be challenging due to a lack of COVID-19 relief funding.

Sununu is leaving office in January, but says during his term, the state Education Trust Fund went from a 50-million-dollar deficit to 200-million-dollar surplus.

Kelly Ayotte will take over for Sununu after beating Joyce Craig on Election Day.
