Fatal Crashes Involving Young Drivers Are Trending Upward
Fatal crashes involving young drivers are trending upward in New Hampshire.
State officials say 112 motorists have died on Granite State roads this year, which is down from last year.
Eleven of the fatalities were under the age of 21, compared to three last year and one in 2022.
Traffic-safety experts say traffic deaths are the leading cause of death for teens aged 16 to 19, adding that new drivers are three times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash compared to adult drivers.
