NH Airline Pilot Was In Cockpit When Arrested

The New Hampshire airline pilot charged with driving under the influence was in the cockpit going through pre-flight checks when he was arrested Wednesday morning.

David Allsop of Bedford was scheduled to be the pilot for a Southwest Airline plane from Savannah, Georgia, to Chicago when he was escorted off the aircraft after passengers had already boarded.

He’s free on bond and Southwest said he has been released from duty.  Allsop has held a commercial pilot’s license since 2008.
