Ayotte Orders Freeze On Non-Essential Hiring
NH Governor Kelly Ayotte is doing her part to prevent a state budget deficit by ordering a hiring freeze on all non-essential state government positions.
The governor says with the Granite State’s current fiscal environment, it is time the government tightens its belt and lives within its means.
Ayotte is allowing essential roles to be filled including law enforcement and child protective services. State agencies can also fill jobs, but only for certain internal applicants.
