Senator Shaheen Supports Tariff Exemption Bill

Senator Jeanne Shaheen is co-sponsoring a bipartisan bill to exempt U.S.-owned small businesses from tariffs imposed on Canadian products.

Noting that Canada is New Hampshire’s largest trading partner, Shaheen said Granite State businesses are “especially hard-hit” by the tariffs.

She said the bill would shield businesses from rising costs and provide some much-needed relief.
