NH Lottery: Powerball Jackpot Hits $1B

New Hampshire Lottery officials say today’s Powerball jackpot might be worth investing a few dollars.

It will be the eighth largest jackpot in the game’s history — one billion dollars. They say the one-time cash payout before taxes would be more than 453-million dollars.

New Hampshire officials say players bought almost one-point-six million dollars worth of tickets last week alone.
