High Court To Hear Death Row Appeal

The New Hampshire Supreme Court is going to hear an appeal from the state’s only death row inmate.

Michael Addison was convicted in 2008, for the shooting death of Manchester police Officer Michael Briggs in 2006.

The state’s death penalty was abolished in 2019, as a result, Addison’s lawyers argue his sentenced should be commuted.

No one has been executed in New Hampshire since 1939.
