AG’s Office Reaches Settlement With PayPal

The state Attorney General’s Office is announcing a settlement with PayPal.
Consumers often use PayPal to pay for things like food, rent, groceries and childcare and the company was accused of violating the state’s consumer protection laws by using deceptive advertising and implementing inadequate disclosures.
Under the terms of this deal, PayPal will pay over one-point-seven million dollars and make significant changes to its platform.
