NH House Rejected A “Red Flag” Bill

The New Hampshire House has rejected a “Red Flag” bill allowing courts to order the surrender of guns from people deemed a danger to themselves or others.

The vote was 206-to-153. Opponents argued it would violate individuals’ rights and would not solve mental health crises.

Supporters of the bill said the law would provide a point of intervention to prevent a tragedy.
