Police across the greater Manchester area are warning people about what they’re calling a very-realistic looking scam.

They say that scam involves a notice of hearing, which claims the recipient broke traffic laws and must pay a fine.

The document also says there’s a scheduled hearing date and includes a QR code that can be scanned.

Officials say these notices aren’t legitimate and anyone who receives one should ignore it.
