Human Remains Are Found At A Shipyard

An investigation is underway following the discovery of human remains at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Divers were doing a routine barge inspection near Berth 14 in Kittery, Maine yesterday when they saw a body.

The remains were taken to the Maine chief medical examiner’s office in Augusta for identification and an autopsy.

Police say there is no threat to the public.
