Three Candidates In Race For Maine Governor

Mainers are going to have three choices when they cast their ballot for governor on Election Day.

That’s because former Maine Republican Party chairman Rick Bennett has qualified for the race as an independent.

Bennett will take on the winners of the Democratic and Republican primaries, which are happening next Tuesday.

Whoever comes out on top in November will replace current Governor Janet Mills who can’t run for re-election due to term limits.
