National Guard Soldiers Going Overseas

More than 130 New Hampshire National Guard soldiers are being deployed overseas.

Members of the 172nd Mountain Infantry Regiment will be in the Middle East in support of Operation Spartan Shield.

The soldiers are going to spend the next few weeks in Texas, before serving as a security force to protect personnel and equipment.

This mission is expected to take about 10 months to complete.
