Everett Turnpike Roadwork Begins

Drivers that use the Everett Turnpike in Bedford are going to want to make alternative plans.

Beginning tonight, DOT workers will begin construction on the former Bedford toll plaza equipment.

Due to the work, crews will have alternating lane closures on the turnpike on both sides from 7 p.m. tonight into the Tuesday morning commute.

DOT officials say drivers are reminded to be patient and obey all signage about where they are supposed to go
