Manchester School Board To Vote On Transgender Athlete Policy

The Manchester School District is deciding whether to update its policy regarding transgender athletes participating in school sports to more closely follow state law.

In a three-to-two vote, the Committee on Policy approved the revision and sent it to the Manchester School Board to be approved.

The move comes after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld other states’ bans on allowing transgender girls from participating in girls’ sports.
