Scam In Nashua

Nashua police are warning people of an active impersonation scam.

Police say a caller claims to be an officer and tells someone they missed a court date or other legal proceedings and will face legal consequences as a result.

The caller then offers a way out — to pay to make the problem go away.

Nashua police say officers will never demand payment by phone or collect court fines or penalties over the phone.
