Officials Trying To Pinpoint Blaze Cause

One person is dead and another injured after a house fire in Coos County.

When officials arrived at the house on Montgomery Road near Pike Pond in Stark yesterday, the residence was already engulfed in heavy smoke and flames.

The body of a man was discovered inside and the other victim ended up being taken by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital.

It’s believed the fatal fire may have been caused by a wood stove.
