Police in both New Hampshire and Maine are continuing to search for two missing women who have intellectual disabilities. They say Kimberly Pushard and Angela Bussell were heading to The Maine Mall in South Portland Tuesday. But, the pair got lost and are known to have been in places in both Maine and New Hampshire after they went missing. The two are traveling in a red 2012 Jeep Compass with Maine registration 1960VC. Anyone with information on their whereabouts can call 207-443-9711.
A woman who acted as bookkeeper for two school districts in the Granite State has admitted to stealing more than 130-thousand-dollars. Prosecutors say 47-year-old Amy Burley took funds from both the Barnstead and Hampton districts. She used the money for things like making student loan payments, paying creditors, and also paid credit card bills for herself and family members. Burley is scheduled to be sentenced in June.
The New Hampshire House and Senate have rejected minimum wage bills. They would have raised the wage incrementally over a period of years to 15-dollars per hour. At seven-dollars-25-cents, the Granite State continues to have the lowest hourly minimum wage in New England. The other five states are at or above 13-dollars per hour.
