Manchester police have released the name of the man who was injured in an officer-involved shooting in their city. They say officers were called to an area near Elm Street and Mechanic Street Sunday after getting reports of a person driving recklessly and doing burnouts. The vehicle driven by 18-year-old Waleed Al Thuwayni was later spotted in a parking lot, and he pulled out what appeared to be a weapon, which led to an officer opening fire. Al Thuwayni was taken to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries. A black BB gun was later discovered inside the vehicle.
Officials at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport have revealed the timeline for upcoming runway improvement projects. The first phase of the project is expected to begin this Saturday, and work will include milling and paving and replacing the approach lighting system at several runways to improve safety. The airport is working closely with the FAA and airlines ensure that there’s a limited impact on arrivals and departures. Construction should be done by mid-September.

Hampton Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a home in the Hemlock Haven Mobile Home Park yesterday afternoon. Officials say a woman who was inside at the time was taken to the hospital. Fire officials say two cats died in the fire.
