Woman Convicted for Role in Hit-and-Run Finds Out Sentence for Crime
A woman who was convicted for her role in a hit-and-run has found out the punishment for her crime.
Monday a judge sentenced Joyce Howard to spend up to three years in prison.
In October 2021, Howard struck Mat Lefebvre with an SUV while he was jogging in Rochester and left the scene.
Lefebvre is still recovering from the injuries that he suffered, and the judge said he did not believe Howard struck the victim intentionally.
Another hearing will take place soon to determine if Howard will need to pay restitution.
