Local Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested in North Carolina

A 50-year-old woman who was shot in the head Monday at an office building in Rochester was listed in critical condition this morning at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

A suspect, identified as 65-year-old Haydee Rivera-Nadeau of Somersworth, was arrested Wednesday night as a fugitive from justice by Charlotte Mecklenburg police in North Carolina.

She’s charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and attempted second-degree murder.

It was not immediately known when she will be extradited back to New Hampshire.
