Governor Sununu Floats Proposal to Legalize Recreational Pot Use in New Hampshire

Governor Chris Sununu is floating a proposal to legalize recreational marijuana in New Hampshire.

Administration officials say Sununu is proposing that New Hampshire regulate recreational marijuana similar to the way it handles wine and liquor sales.

Proponents say the plan would enable to the state to both protect children and enable the state to control weed-related marketing, sales and distribution without having to impose new taxes.

Right now, New Hampshire is only state in New England where recreational marijuana use is against the law.
