Homicide Investigation at Berwick Home: One Dead, One Wounded in Shooting

A shooting at a residence Saturday resulted in one man losing his life and left a second man seriously injured in what police are calling a homicide investigation.

Edward Badeau, 41, of Berwick, was transported from the home at 321 School St. to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, where he succumbed to his injures, according to police.

Christopher Utt, 25, the homeowner, was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, and later to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was in serious condition, police said.

The case remains under investigation at this time.
