Franklin Man Faces Federal Charges Following Phone Message to Member of Congress
A New Hampshire man is facing federal charges after he allegedly threatened to kill a U.S. senator last month.
Federal prosecutors say 66-year-old Brian Landry is accused of leaving a threatening voicemail at a district field office of the as-yet-unidentified senator on May 17th.
In the message, the Franklin man allegedly claimed to be a veteran sniper and said that he ‘was coming to get the senator’ is he or she didn’t change.
If convicted, Landry, who claims he doesn’t recall the gist of his message, could face up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
