No Injuries as Stricken Hovercraft Seeks Safe Harbor Saturday on Hampton Beach
No injuries are reported after a commercial hovercraft unexpectedly pulled up onto the sands of Hampton Beach on Saturday.
Police say the large, twin-fan vessel was forced to beach itself after suffering a three-foot tear in its skirt.
The hovercraft reportedly had been en route to Canada when it ran into trouble.
It was not immediately clear whether the craft would need to be towed off the beach or if repairs could be made on site.
