Rye Police: Body Found on Beach Before Fourth of July…No Foul Play Suspected
Local and state officials investigated an untimely death after a body was located on Rye Beach prior to the Fourth of July holiday.
The body of a deceased man was located on the Wallis Road extension beach last Monday morning, with the report being made to police at 6:50 a.m., said town police Chief Kevin Walsh.
New Hampshire Department of Justice spokesperson Michael Garrity reported the man was a 27-year-old Kittery, Maine resident.
The town’s police and fire departments responded to the beach upon the report
No foul play is suspected in the unidentified man’s death, the chief said.
