Effort to Free Kidnapped NH Woman and Child

The federal government is working to get a 31-year-old nurse from New Hampshire and her child freed in Haiti.

Alix Dorsainvil and her daughter were kidnapped last Thursday.

She works in that country for a Christian humanitarian aid organization.

U.S. officials said kidnappings and violence are widespread and the State Department advises Americans not to go to Haiti.
