Stay Indoors This Weekend, NH Travel Officials Expecting Way Too Many People Visiting
The weather for the holiday weekend looks great and people are coming to the state.
The New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development is projecting record visitation and spending this Columbus Day, which is consistently the third-busiest travel weekend in New Hampshire.
Expect more than 300,000 out of state, overnight visitors who will spend more than $115 million in New Hampshire during the Columbus Day Weekend, marking a five percent, year over year increase for both visitation and spending.
The state’s travel-related businesses and attractions are anticipating robust activity right through the holiday weekend. Fall is the second largest travel season in New Hampshire and throughout the season, visitors will spend $1.4 billion.
Now that’s a nice economic windfall for the granite state!
