Man Settles Lawsuit Alleging Taser Torture by York County Officers
A local man has settled a lawsuit against corrections officers that he alleged excessively held him down in his cell at York County Jail and used a taser on him in 2018.
Details of the settlement, filed on August 29, are not yet known.
The attorneys for Brian Dunnigan, the plaintiff, and jail officers Eric Dagneault and Donovan Cram, the defendants, could not be reached for comment.
Originally, in the suit he filed in late 2019, Dunnigan sought not just to take Daigneault and Cram to court, but also a third officer, Matthew Rocchio, as well as Sheriff William King and York County itself.
Eventually, however, an allegation made in the suit against Rocchio was dropped.
