Work to Widen Everett Turnpike to Continue Through Fall

A project to widen Everett Turnpike from two lanes to three from Bedford to Nashua will continue through the fall before workers take a break over the winter.

State transportation officials say crews are currently focused on a stretch of the road from Merrimack Exit 12 north to just south of the Interstate 293/Route 101 Interchange in Bedford.

Authorities say their goal is to streamline the route for commuters by reducing bottlenecks and rush-hour delays and standstills.
