Social Security Recipients to See 3.2% Raise Starting in January
Hundreds of thousands of New Hampshirites receiving monthly Social Security benefits will see a 3.2% increase starting in January.
Federal officials say the increase reflects the current rate of inflation that, without the federal-payment increase, could leave recipients without sufficient income to keep a roof over their heads.
State officials say about half of New Hampshire Social Security recipients rely on their payment as their primary form of income.
