Officials: Suicide to Blame for Death of Woman Hit by Train in Durham

Friday morning’s death of a woman who was hit by an Amtrak train in Durham is being ruled a suicide.

Investigators issued a press release announcing that the determination had been made by the New Hampshire medical examiner.

Officials say the victim’s body was found on the track near the Bennett Road overpass next to the Doe Farm parking area.

Family members reportedly have been notified.

The victim’s name was not released.
