Driver to Plead Guilty in Trooper’s Death

A tractor-trailer driver will reportedly plead guilty in connection with a crash that killed New Hampshire State Police Sergeant Jesse Sherrill in October of 2021.

Jay Medeiros of Ashford, Connecticut, is charged with negligent homicide and reckless conduct.

Sherrill was on an overnight construction detail on I-95 in Portsmouth when the truck driven by Medeiros hit his cruiser.
