Keene Man Dead After Suffering Medical Emergency on Mount Monadnock

A Keene man is dead after he had a medical emergency earlier this week while hiking the slopes of Mount Monadnock.

State fish and game officials say 70-year-old Kenneth Synmer Senior collapsed along the Marlborough Trail shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Another hiker reportedly administered CPR until help arrived.

However, efforts to revive Synmer were unsuccessful, and he was declared dead at the scene.
