Crash Involving Trooper’s Vehicle Prompts Merrimack Traffic Jam
No injuries are reported after a motorist rear-ended an occupied New Hampshire state trooper’s cruiser before dawn Friday in Merrimack.
State officials say it happened just before 6 a.m. on the F.E. Everett Turnpike, near mile marker 13.8, when a pickup truck impacted the vehicle driven by Trooper Tyler Duhamel.
Duhamel reportedly was responding to another crash when the pickup driven by 39-year-old Chester resident Anthony Remillard.
The crash cause remains under investigation and reportedly contributed to a roughly five-mile traffic backup through Bedford Hills.
No charges were announced.
