New Hampshire will send National Guard troops to Texas
New Hampshire will send a small contingent of National Guard troops to Texas control its southern border with Mexico.
Officials say the move comes after lawmakers on Friday approved Governor Chris Sununu’s 850-thousand-dollar request to send 15 National Guard volunteers to the Lone Star State’s southern border as a means of controlling the flow of fentanyl into the Granite State.
Lawmakers reportedly approved the Republican governor’s request on a party-line vote of six to four.
