Injured Hiker Rescued in Alton

An injured hiker was rescued from the Blue Trail on Mount Major in Alton Tuesday.
New Hampshire Fish and Game reported 28-year-old Carl Newman of Nashua said conditions became icy and he suffered a leg injury when he slipped and fell.
He was carried about a half-mile to the trailhead where he was evaluated by EMS personnel.
