State DOT Makes Request of Drivers Ahead of Eclipse

The State Department of Transportation is making a request of drivers ahead of the upcoming solar eclipse.

The agency is asking people to travel on highways only if they are planning to head to Coos County to get the best view of the April 8th event.

Officials say there are concerns secondary roads may not be able to handle a high volume of traffic which may cause backups and even accidents.
