Artist Selected to Create Astronaut Memorial in Concord

An artist has been selected to create a memorial to astronaut Christa McAuliffe outside the State House in Concord.

Benjamin Victor will be responsible for designing the sculpture that’ll pay tribute to McAuliffe.

She died back in 1986 while onboard the Challenger spacecraft that tragically exploded over Florida.

It’s expected that the contract for this project will be approved later this month.
