Bill Signed Requiring Accessible Voting Machines
July 9, 2024

New Hampshire cities and towns are now required to provide accessible voting machines after next January.

Governor Chris Sununu signed a bill into law last week that requires at least one accessible voting machine for every election.

Currently, the state provides accessible voting machines to communities only during federal elections, as required by federal law.

Supporters said the new law will allow those with vision disabilities to vote privately like everyone else.
